# How To Make:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
03 - Add buttermilk, oil, egg, and vanilla to the dry mixture. Mix until smooth, then pour in hot water and mix again.
04 - Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
05 - Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar, vanilla, and softened cream cheese until medium-stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until use.
06 - Break cooled cake into small, even crumbles using your hands or a fork.
07 - Fill clean flower pots or dessert cups: add cake crumbs, spoon creamy filling, add more crumbs, then top generously with chocolate cookie crumbs as soil.
08 - Arrange edible flowers, mint leaves, and herb sprigs on top to create a whimsical garden appearance.
09 - Refrigerate assembled pots for at least 30 minutes before serving to set layers and improve texture.

02 -
  • Only use flowers specifically labeled as edible and from pesticide-free sources
  • The cake must be completely cooled before assembling or the cream will melt
03 -
  • Crumble the cake by hand rather than using a food processor for more natural texture
  • Press the cookie soil layer gently so it stays put but still looks loose
