Decadent Chocolate Banana Bliss Popsicles (Printable)

Creamy banana and dark chocolate frozen popsicles swirled together for a refreshing summer treat. Easy to make with Greek yogurt and natural sweeteners.

# What You'll Need:

→ Popsicle Base

01 - 2 ripe bananas
02 - 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
03 - 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
04 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

→ Chocolate Swirl

05 - 3 ounces dark chocolate (minimum 60% cocoa solids)
06 - 2 teaspoons coconut oil

→ Optional Toppings

07 - 2 tablespoons chopped roasted nuts (optional)
08 - 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional)

# How To Make:

01 - Peel and slice the bananas. Place them in a blender along with Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
02 - In a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil until smooth. Stir to combine.
03 - Pour half of the banana mixture into popsicle molds, filling each mold about halfway. Drizzle a layer of melted chocolate into each mold. Gently swirl with a skewer or knife for a marbled effect.
04 - Top with the remaining banana mixture, then repeat chocolate drizzle and swirl as desired.
05 - Insert popsicle sticks. If using, sprinkle tops with chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips.
06 - Freeze for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
07 - To release the popsicles, briefly run the mold under warm water. Enjoy immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The marble swirl looks like you spent hours on it, but the whole thing comes together in under 20 minutes of active work.
  • They taste like a frozen banana split had a baby with a fudge pop, and no one believes they are made with real fruit and yogurt.
02 -
  • Underripe bananas will make your popsicles taste green and starchy, so wait until the peels are heavily spotted or even fully brown.
  • If you skip the coconut oil in the chocolate it will seize into clumps and you will not get a swirl at all.
03 -
  • Dairy-free yogurt works beautifully but choose an unsweetened version since the bananas and honey already bring plenty of sweetness.
  • Tapping the filled molds firmly on the counter before freezing eliminates air pockets that create weird holes when you unmold them.
